Worlds collide as Celine Dion, Kanye West, and Ryan Reynolds get into a "Deadpool"-themed Twitter exchange
Denise TruscelloOnly a superhero could possibly bring Celine Dion and Kanye West together in a Twitter conversation.
While tweeting his love for the Deadpool movies, the controversial rapper asserted that some of the music used in the films was reminiscent of his own work.
“I love both Deadpool movies… I heard tracks in it that sound similar to mine,” Kanye tweeted. “bro I would have cleared my music for Deadpool.”
He added, “your guys writing and approach is so innovative … I love how you guys break the 4th wall… thank you for being innovative and please know I’m down to clear next time.”
Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds responded to Kanye’s tweet about the music sounding similar to his, writing, “Agree. I’m having a word with Celine Dion.”
Celine, of course, recorded the song “Ashes” for the Deadpool 2 soundtrack, and Ryan appeared in the video with her.
Then Celine got into the act, tweeting, “Hmm, ‘Ashes (Yeezy Remix)’ does have a nice ring to it…”
Your move, Kanye.
