Tom Robinson has been in radio since 1965, first as an announcer, then in sales and finally in management. His first job was at WBOY- AM
In Clarksburg, West Va followed by WLPM-AM Suffolk, Va., WNOR-AM, Norfolk Va. WLEE-AM, Richmond, Virginia and other stations in Statesville,NC, Hickory, N.C.. In 1971 Robinson went to work at WHAP-AM in Hopewell, Virginia beginning as a part time announcer and becoming general manager in 1977, he stayed there until 1981 when he bought WDDY-AM, Gloucester, Virginia in 1988 the call letters were changed to WXGM-AM and in 1991 he signed on WXGM-FM, XTRA 99.1 FM.
