Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival – registration deadline @ Hampton Convention Center

You will see Quilts from across the country, from other countries, from Virginia and from the Middle Peninsula at the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival. The art of quilting is alive and well and this show features all aspects of the art. Hand and machine quilting, piecing by hand and machine, cotton, wool, embroidery, painting, appliqué and everything else you can think of to do with a needle and thread. Traditional to mixed media art quilts. And for those of you that love to create, the show features helpful vendors. Bring your camera! Lunch is on your own at the show or on the way home. Hampton Convention Center.

A Quilt Show featuring the quilts and the quilters of the Middle Peninsula.  With three active quilt guilds on the Middle Peninsula, this show offers a beautiful and varied selection of quilts, quilting techniques and quilting styles.  From the King Sized to Baby Quilts, from Wall hangings to Wearabels, from Table Cloths to Useabels, you can spend hours viewing the entries.  With many of the quilters volunteering at the show, you can find out the little details about the quilts that stop you in your tracks!  Demonstrations of old and new techniques are held throughout the two day show.

Sponsored by Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism, River Country Quilt Guild, Bay Quilters and Stingray Stitchers.
